The ReCyP:HER project, funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, aims to strengthen cybersecurity education and capacity building in Pakistan. As an extension of this initiative, the ReCyP:HER Network seeks to create an interdisciplinary platform that brings together experts from diverse fields to address the human factor in cybersecurity. To foster an interdisciplinary approach to cybersecurity, emphasizing the human factor in education and research, while raising public awareness of cybersecurity issues.
Mission
The ReCyP:HER network is committed to:
- Creating an Interdisciplinary Community: Bringing together social scientists, IT professionals, computer scientists, industry representatives, and policymakers to collaborate on cybersecurity challenges.
- Enhancing Education: Supporting Pakistani universities in revising cybersecurity courses to meet international standards, making them more immersive, competence-oriented, and aligned with human factor perspectives.
- Building University-Enterprise Cooperation: Strengthening the link between academia and industry to increase the employability of cybersecurity students in Pakistan.
- Raising Public Awareness: Promoting broader awareness of cybersecurity issues and their impact on society.
